Fascinated by music since the early age of 13 years old, French guitarist Nils Courbaron has always been very eclectic in so far as styles are concerned : listening and playing from classical music to heavy metal and Djent, and even an occasional soft spot for flamenco.

He’s currently playing in Sirenia & Dropdead Chaos as lead guitarist, while pursuing a solo career. He’s also the French ambassador of ESP Guitars.

Inspired by many artists, his style draws its roots in the innovative style of musicians like Kiko Loureiro, Jeff Loomis, Adrian Smith, Misha Mansoor, Yngwie Malmsteen, Michael Romeo, Rodrigo Y Gabriela,

Shredding has a special appeal for Nils, and can be found in most of his work so far. Experimenting is also an important part of his creating process. His solo endeavour, Nils Courbaron’s Project enables him to dabble in all styles of metal, as well as djent, but also classical music and flamenco.
